Most all of my beach fishing reports are “second hand”, as I fish primarily from the boat. For the beach reports we get the info either directly from the people who were fishing, be it the guys that work at the shop and fish the beaches, or customers who come in or call in with reports, or lastly, from reports on other websites.
This report is the last type, so it really is “second-hand”, so I cannot vouch for it’s perfect credibility – although I know the fellow who caught it catches a lot and fishes hard! Bottom line, high 20 pound striper was supposedly caught sometime Friday on the Race Pt beach – don’t know if it was bait, lure or what. Again – not sure of 100% credibility of this reported fish!
THINKING ABOUT THIS REPORT SOME MORE – I PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER, BASED UPON THE COMMENTS THAT WERE MADE WITH THE WEBSITE PHOTO OF THE FISH THAT I SAW, AND MADE AN ASSUMPTION THAT THIS FISH WAS CAUGHT AT RACE PT. AS I REFERRED TO ABOVE, I AM NOT SURE IF THIS WAS TOTALLY ACCURATE OR NOTÂ – SO THE BEST THING TO DO IS PROBABLY SAY “I DON’T KNOW!, MAYBE, MAYBE NOT”.
